Reiki is my life, I live, breathe, eat, and sleep it!

I am so passionate about Reiki that I want to share it with the world and the only way I can do that is by writing a book about my life with an explanation to how I became a Reiki Master at Teacher level.

Margaret Ann Elson from humble beginnings became a Reiki Master/Teacher, whoever would have believed it...definitely not me.
I want each and every one of you to find what I have found through Reiki. Anyone with the capacity to give and receive love is more than capable of becoming a Reiki Master, it is that simple. It is not a science there are no “exams” all you have to do is put your trust in the Divine Source and the world is yours.

Since becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher I have met various people who have told me they did not “feel” a connection when being attuned to Reiki. If this is the case then we have to question the “Masters” intentions when attuning a student, be it First, Second or Master degree.
I would also call into question the Ego of the Master that is doing the attunement and unfortunately is another side of Reiki that is highly disturbing in its consequences. By using their own energy (ego) it can cause huge problems in the student’s health and welfare, which in turn can manifest into a physical/mental illness.
The same can be said when they use their own energy for “healing” a client.
By using your own energy it will transfer all negative thoughts and emotions to a totally unsuspecting client and will also leave you feeling drained and depleted. Some Reiki Masters claim that we need to go into “trance” to allow Reiki to flow. Not true! Start putting obstacles in the way and it will stop the flow. Reiki is all about intent....you intend, Reiki flows, simple as.

I was ridden with nerves when faced with my first Reiki healing and thought that I had to concentrate and try to aim the energy where Rapid River had shown me the problem. How naive was I, but like everything else in life Reiki is a learning curve. The only difference is we do not have to learn anything other than to be a divine and loving conduit for the Reiki energy to flow.
The more that you use Reiki whether on yourself or others the more you will get to know how it “feels”, your confidence will grow stronger and with confidence comes belief and with belief comes trust, which is all that is asked of us....Trusting and becoming attuned to the Reiki energy is all that you need to do in order to change your way of life, enabling you to create a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Being attuned by a Reiki Master who has devoted their life to Reiki since they were first attuned is a must. A Reiki Master who is a clear and loving conduit enabling you to be attuned with pure Divine Source Reiki energy. This will allow you to go forward and do what you have been sent here to do...heal and teach the ways of our Lord Jesus.

First and Second degree Reiki are specifically about “clearing” all negative thoughts, doubts and memories that you may have buried in your subconscious.
First Degree Reiki as it was first taught is for you and you alone, enabling all negative thoughts, desires and emotions to be brought to your conscious level of thinking which in turn allows you to deal with them in a positive way.
Subconscious events and occurrences that have been “buried” can be brought forward when you are in a dream state or meditating when the mind is open to receiving. This is perfectly normal and is how it should be to get you to where you need to be by the time you are ready for attunement to Second Degree Reiki.

My own attunement to Second Degree Reiki brought to the surface all the negative emotions that had occurred at the death of my mum.

This was an extremely difficult time for me and I felt that I was reliving every painful minute all over again. My grief at losing mum had to be cleared and brought to the surface so that I could become a clear and loving channel for Divine Source Reiki at Master level.

The Solar-Plexus is where we store all of our emotions and if we do not “get rid” this is when they can manifest into a physical illness. My emotions manifested into my gall bladder becoming inflamed and having to have it removed. The Solar-Plexus is the place your hands immediately go to if we have a shock. It is the ultimate “holder” of all our feelings and where our “gut instinct” comes from.

Second Degree Reiki deals with our Emotional and Mental wellbeing and follows on from First Degree Reiki in helping us to delve deeper into our subconscious thoughts and emotions. Reiki 2 also opens additional energy centres allowing us to “connect” to a greater volume of Divine Source Reiki, allowing you to become a clear and loving conduit for the energy to flow through you without any kind of interference.

Once you have been attuned to these two Reiki degrees you may feel that you want to go on to become a Reiki Master.The Usui System of Reiki is a way of life for its Masters and is to be treated with honour and respect with an appreciation for the simplicity and the undeniable power of Reiki.

It is up to you to honour your commitment to healing yourself and others and to promote the importance of tolerance and a non aggressive way of life. Being a Reiki Master entails being a leader who has serious responsibilities that are not to be taken lightly, remembering also that you are still a student of Reiki.
As your life grows with Reiki you never stop learning and, getting together with other people who are at a similar level of spiritual development will help you to achieve balance between your own individual development and theirs.

The next logical step is to become attuned to the Reiki Master/Teacher energy for those with the will and desire to teach Reiki. Reiki Masters agree to use the form as it is, protected by the current lineage bearer Phyllis Lei Furumoto.
Mrs Furomoto carries the seed of Usui Shiki Ryoho passed from one generation to another and for this, we as Reiki students must show the utmost respect.
Reiki as a way of life is about surrendering to the flow of the guidance of the Reiki energy and becomes an exciting way to trust life without the need to know why. Remember that Reiki is a “life choice” and you still have the free will to go in whatever direction you choose but, my advice is to allow Reiki to “choose” for you the life that is for your Highest and Greatest good.
