So, What is Reiki? Reiki is the ancient art of "Laying on of Hands" in order to heal. Reiki
(pronounced Ray-Key) is a combination of two Japanese words Rei and Ki meaning “universal life energy” To me,
Reiki is a gift given by the Divine Source and I honour and respect it with the acknowledgement it deserves. Reiki is not
to be used or abused flippantly. Reiki is a powerful tool in helping to heal your fellow mankind and Mother Earth. Do you remember how the touch of your mother's hand soothed away all your fears and anxieties. A mother’s
natural intuition for her child knowing just when you needed that loving hug and words of comfort. Reassurance that all
was well and making you feel safe and secure in the knowledge that you were loved and wanted. That is Reiki at its most powerful and it has
been given down the centuries without thought or recognition for what is basically a powerful tool for healing....our hands. Touch is a means of communication without words and can convey a feeling of love to pass from one human being
to another. Animals when touched will always respond, a cat will purr, dog's wag their tail in response to the
hand laid upon them. Research has shown that adults who were rarely touched in their formative years are
more likely to suffer from depression, mental issues and social disorders, hardly surprising when touch is the most valuable
touch for healing.
Hands are the heart's landscape.~ Pope John Paul II ~
Whilst Reiki is spiritual
in nature, it is not a religion has no dogma and is not dependent on what your beliefs are or not, as in some cases and, you
do not have to believe for it to work. To be kind and compassionate with a generous amount of empathy, reaching out with a
loving heart and mind and not expecting anything in return does not make you “religious” These
are the qualities needed to make you a conduit for Reiki Divine Source Healing energy. It’s that simple. There
have been many arguments and wars down the centuries over religion in all its basic forms and remember Jesus was crucified
for his beliefs. Look at our modern world today, little has changed. Wars are still being fought in the name
of religion. People still being bombed, murdered, maimed, and all for what, Power! That is what all wars have ever
been about, man’s unachievable aim for world dominance. Even when this so called “autonomous power”
is realised, they will still not have the satisfaction they crave, ultimately leading them in their totally deluded state
of mind to carry on with their unjustified killing and maiming. Inciting and brainwashing others to kill and
maim just because we do not share their beliefs and becoming in their eyes the enemy. How sad and disillusioned is that?
We are all children of God regardless of colour, race or creed. Whatever you want to call the “Higher” energy
we are all still as one in the “Lords” eyes. You do not have to be religious to be spiritual
and this is where Reiki comes into being. Reiki is unconditional love for your fellow man. It is universal with no strings attached, the ability to
love and be loved in return as sung by the late great Nat King Cole. When Jesus walked the Earth plain healing and
teaching he was subjected to ongoing abuse but, with a quiet dignity he carried on regardless to what was said or thought
about him. It is my belief that we as Light workers at this moment in time are here to spread this message
to the world, to carry on what Jesus and his disciples started. We are in service to the Divine and I am extremely
humbled at the fact that Margaret Ann Elson has been chosen to help do his work in this lifetime “healing and teaching”
my fellow man. Reiki is there for anyone who can give and most importantly “receive” love, encompassing
the will to serve and the desire to heal. Whether you are a rich man, poor man, a beggar man or a thief, Reiki is here for you.
It’s that simple and all that is required of you is to be a willing student capable of giving and receiving love.....
